Production Project 2 Studio Development & Skills Workshops

OUTLINE
Students will nominate in first semester to join a specific project-based studio for Production Project 2 in second semester. During time allotted in PP1, you will work with your PP2 tutor on an agreed research and development task.

To support PP2 development, students will complete an Advanced Skills Workshop series, led by an industry professional.

ASSESSMENT VALUE: 20%

TASK

• studio selection Following PP2 tutor Studio project presentations in Wk 4, students will nominate their three preferred studio options.

• studio group meetings In Wks 6 and 11, Studio groups will meet to discuss and develop each studio plan.

• advanced skills workshops In Wks 7, 9 and 10, students will undertake these workshops, choosing from a range of specific production skill areas.

• reflections Students will complete a series of reflective blog posts, on specific topics relevant to their PP2 studio – including their participation in the Advanced Skills Workshops, as agreed with their PP2 tutor who will be assessing this task. (posts to be categorised PP2 studio):

KEY DELIVERY DATES

• Friday March 26 (Wk4)  Nominate three preferred PP2 studio groups
• Monday April 12 (Wk6)  Nominate preferred Skills Workshop series (deliver to PP2 studio producer)
• Friday  June 4 (Wk13)  Deliver PP2 assignment task as blog post

ASSESSMENT MODE
Your assignment will be assessed two ways: by your tutor (weighted 50%), and yourself (50%).

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
To be discussed and decided in collaboration with your PP2 tutor
